Our Parrucca collection displays primitive designs from the Byzantine tradition, adorned with the vibrant colors and lifestyles of Sicily. Each piece of pottery is handmade and hand-painted.
Large pieces are not standardized. The artists are allowed to depict each subject as they wish; hence, each piece may vary slightly from the photo. Most pieces have holes in the back for hanging purposes.
Made of European red clay, each item is dipped in a white coating and then painted freehand with lead-free mineral glazes. Each piece is high fired three times to add extra protection and strength.
